Claire Feeley has been selected as Curator in Residence for the pilot MORE THAN SPACE project supported by Creative Scotland. She is known for her approach in supporting artists to realise major artworks, ambitious either in scale, duration or through collaborative models of community co-commissioning.
A VERY HEAVENLY SOCIAL: an evening of odes, ballads, songs, poems, and toasts that reflect on the experience of being a creative practitioner in Scotland and the communal care necessary to cope during a time of political, economic and climate crisis.
Rachel Grant was selected as Curator in Residence in Aberdeen for the pilot MORE THAN SPACE project supported by Creative Scotland and Aberdeen City Council.
An open call for 20 artists in 2022 to make use of space in empty commercial property with a bursary, and curatorial & logistical support from the MORE THAN SPACE team in Aberdeen, Glenrothes, Greenock, Kilmarnock, Kirkcaldy, Motherwell, Newton Mearns, Paisley, Stirling as well as Edinburgh and Glasgow.
THE DISSENTER FOR SPACE STUDIES seeks to empower studio-holders to collaborate, experiment and explore the possibilities of artists occupying vacant commercial properties.
Outer Spaces has received an Aberdeen City Council Creative Funding 2022/23 award to offer five micro-commissions to artists based in the city and work with a Curator in Residence as part of the MORE THAN SPACE Aberdeen project.
