A one day public event showcasing the work of commissioned artists

Sunday 19 February 12-4pm


In-Situ is located in an office space within a commercial business park in Dyce Aberdeen. The event includes commissioned works from; Samm Anga, Caitlin Dick, Sorour Fattahi, Leopard Arts and Emily Weaver, as part of More Than Space Aberdeen, working with Curator in Residence, Rachel Grant.

 

Over three months the artists have been developing new and existing works, using vacant spaces to take risks and experiment. This includes: installation; moving image; print; and painting. The event is free, tickets are available via:

More Than Space Aberdeen has been designed by Outer Spaces to support the recovery of artists and communities in the city post-pandemic, piloting models and exploring new directions for curating and commissioning.


The project has been supported by Aberdeen City Council Creative Funding and Creative Scotland.


 








Access:

The event space is on the ground floor and is accessible for wheelchair users.

Guide dogs, hearing dogs and other recognised assistance dogs are welcome.

The building is not heated, please wear warm clothes.

The event will take place at Weatherford House, 2 Lawson Drive, Dyce, Aberdeen, AB21 0DR.


Buses:

Regular buses operate from Union Street, take the number 18 towards Dyce. Alight at Victoria Street. Information on timetables can be found here.

Regular trains are available from Aberdeen centre to Dyce. Information on timetables can be found here. The building is a ten-minute walk from the station.


Car:

Free parking is available on site.
