Jaz Grady will host a fun and engaging workshop celebrating Perth UNESCO City of Craft and Folk Art and the opening of the new Perth Museum, which will open its doors on Saturday 30th March 2024 after a £27 million redevelopment project.
This workshop offers participants the opportunity to co-create a bright large-scale artwork with Jaz, exploring sketching techniques to produce portraits and self-portraits of the people that call Perth home! There will be time spent En Plein Air in the streets, as well as time in the Outer Spaces studio, Average Gallery, using paint, mops, and brushes to create a truly collaborative artwork with residents from the local area.
Jaz is a Perth-based artist who currently occupies one of Outer Spaces temporary art spaces on the High Street called Average Gallery, with their Average Artists delivering a programme of exhibitions and free workshops, working primarily with the LGBTQIA+ community and allies.
This event is free but ticketed.
Please be aware this event takes place on the 1st floor of Average Gallery.
This project is funded by Perth UNESCO City of Craft and Folk Art and Outer Spaces.
