About the event

Come along to find out how we collaborate with artists, art collectives, community initiatives and arts organisations to activate empty commercial property as temporary studio and project space. Learn about the locations where we work, the kinds of spaces we have available and what spaces are coming up.

There will also be an opportunity to hear about our pilot More Than Space project, supported by Creative Scotland and Aberdeen City Council last year. We'll talk about how we’re currently working with new graduates and partners, and have a tour around one of the largest office buildings we occupy in Edinburgh.

The event is aimed at programming colleagues as well as emerging and independent curators. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Please tell us about any dietary requirements you have in the booking form.

Access

The venue has lift access to all floors and accessible toilets. Please let us know of any access requirements you have in the booking form.

Attendance is free and we have a limited number of travel bursaries, available on a first come first served basis, for freelance and low waged curators. Please contact helen@outerspaces.org detailing your travel plans and related costs.

How to get to Outer Spaces Edinburgh Park

Buses to Central Edinburgh:
22 (30-40 mins to Princes St), 400 (20 - 25 mins to Edinburgh Airport). There is a bus stop immediately outside of the property, and several on both roads leading to it.

Nearest tram station:
Edinburgh Park, 10 minute walk from property (35 – 40 mins to Princes St)

Nearest train station:
Edinburgh Park station, 10-minute walk from property

Parking:
Free parking on site (300+ spaces), the barrier will be open to allow access
